We look at the world from the treetops and see the horizon of beauty through the window. I have heard the magic of the woods whooshing through sprigs and branches, consoling the busy people. We are located at a serene slope, the most beautiful one around, looking for moments to relax, pause and the joy found in genuineness. Our hotel is an experience that blows you away – but allows you to pause.
Landscape Suites
The suites are located on the secluded slope of Tahko Mountain, overlooking the open wilderness with the most stunning views in the area. Explore all our landscape suites and their features. The four levels of landscape suites are Wolf, Forest Bear, Lake Bear, and Moose. All stays include our exceptional served breakfast and unlimited access to the forest spa during its opening hours.
The experience in our landscape suites is built around the most beautiful colors of the horizon at all times of day, the modern Scandinavian design of the suites, the stunning sound experience provided by Genelec, and our unique sleep experience.
The Wolf
Without ever making a big deal of itself, the silver wolf is fully focused on everything that might be overlooked inadvertently in haste. Towards the skies our wolf reaches, showing us the finest of its heights. From the most valuable moments, deriving strength from silence and relaxation.
The landscape suite “Wolf” with its huge windows is a unique experience. It is intimate and warm, like a nest in the treetops. A view towards the lake Syväri can be seen from each suite.

The Bear
The king of the forests whose den is the sanctuary of winter. The bear takes us to the land of dreams, where all the pieces fall into their places. The bear dreams of what the forest smells like and how the light plays in the spring, when it wakes up to the summer sun glittering over the lake Syväri.
“The Bear” is at its best when the lights play with nature. Windows in different shapes give form to the landscape and the life in the suite. The suite includes a bedroom and a large living area.

The Moose
The moose's fur is wavy like the sky and warm like a flaming stove. Nobly it stands on a hummock looking at the most beautiful clearing in front of her. Gracefully the moose rises knowing the meaning of its greatness. To find and to be surprised. To experience all moments the landscape builds.
From our suite “The Moose”, you can experience the landscape to its fullest. It offers you huge windows and the warmth of a fireplace, the softness of wood and the vastest twinkling of the landscape. The Moose stands on the proudest podium in the region. The lingering of spaces beyond the ordinary.

Water has for so long awaited the moment of its liberation from underneath the rocks to allow it to meander freely through its own paths towards the vastness of lakes and seas.
Despite its flux, water offers everyone its time and solace. It knows that it is time to provide softness that has been here and there lost in this world.
The forest spa brings seasons near, for all of our saunas and pools are outside. Wood-burning saunas bring their unique scents and sounds to the top of the mountain. It is time to live.

Havu Kitchen & Bar represents Scandinavian purity that meets the Eastern taiga. To the days and nights, we bring moments that enchant, surprise and delight. On the top of Tahko dances a great flame that brings taste to our smokery and kitchen. We take the time to be special. The dinner memories created by us are, hence, more delicate and sophisticated.

Ski in, Ski out
Winter in Tahko is a remarkable blend of Finland’s unique nature experience, a wealth of activities, and moments of relaxation. We are situated right on the slopes, allowing you to ski directly from the doorstep of your suite. Selected accommodations also include lift tickets, and we can have your equipment ready and waiting for you if needed.
If slope activities aren’t your thing, you can enjoy mountain biking, snowshoeing, snowmobile safaris, or husky safaris with us.
Christmas is beautiful
The most atmospheric time of the year is full of beauty at the top of Tahko, in our completely unique hotel. Christmas here is peaceful and nestled in the heart of a winter paradise. The slopes are open, and accommodation in the heart of it all offers a wonderful experience.
Christmas stays include free access to the spa, exquisite Havu Morning breakfasts, a Christmas tree in your room waiting for your arrival, and festive treats ready to enjoy. Stays in the Bear and Elk suites also include lift tickets for the entire duration of your stay.
On Christmas Eve, the stay also includes a mulled wine trip into Tahko’s nature and a Christmas Eve dinner for our guests. The Lähde Forest Spa will also be open exclusively for guests on Christmas Eve.
